Annual Lotto Drive: We are embarking on a campaign to sell our weekly lotto’s via an annual subscription. With the downturn in the economy and the numbers of people who have emigrated it is now difficult for supporters to purchase our weekly lottos, however the costs of providing all the facilities, running 12 teams, registering players, etc., is still the same. All revenue will go to the Ladies Club, the Minor Club, the Senior Club, and 10% will be given to The Latin School Roof Restoration Project.  Supporters will be entered into the draw each week, this equates to a cost to you of just of €1.75 per week with an additional 20% off for OAP’s and Students.  In addition to your numbers being entered into the lotto draw and a chance to win the actual jackpot each week (Currently stands at €9,000), you will also; become a club member at no extra cost, receive a membership card, have voting rights at the AGM, be entered into the draw for All Ireland Tickets, be given access to the Club Newsletter (including videos, interviews, church newsletter and potentially school newsletter) and receive a Dromard GAA Supporters Car sticker. A local member of the club will be calling upon you during the month of May to go over the proposal in more detail so we appreciate you giving them any support that you can. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Credit Cards, Bank Transfer, or online payments are also accepted. To pay online go to the “Lotto Membership” section of the Dromard GAA website or click here: (  If you enter into the 1 Year scheme (or for a shorter period) you will not need to purchase the weekly lotto tickets during the period your scheme is active.  For any further details or if you wish to make contact to buy directly from one of the officers please call Michael Reilly, Vice Chairman, on 086-2202275, Anthony Maguire, Chairman 0868097547, Dermot Reilly, Secretary 086 6041980, Frank Smith Treasurer 086-8295200.  Gus McEntire, Assistant Secretary 086-8214659 or Kevin Hourican, Senior Teams Liaison 087-3364408 or any club officer. Senior Reserve League 1:  Dromard 2-11 v Abbeylara 3-7. We played Abbeylara on Friday night at 7:45pm in Pairc NaGeal, thanks to Michael O’Brien and his team for officiating.  In a tough and very well contested in counter, where the lead switched several times, there was only one point in it in the end in favour of Dromard.  We now have one last game to play against Emmet Og to guarantee a semi-final berth in this competition. Team: Sean McNerney, Peter Reynolds, James Mimnagh, Michael Reilly, Brendan McLoughlin, Padraig Martin, Ciaran McStay, Noel Reynolds, Martin McGee, Emmet Masterson, Gavan McNerney, Gary Maguire, Enda Macken, John Sheridan.  Subs used: Dermot Reilly, Peter Mimnagh, Jimmy Kiernan, and Niall McMAnus

Senior League Div 1: Next game in this competition is against Father Manning Geals this Friday night in Mondaduff at 8pm.

County Football. Well done to Longford and our reps who played on the day, Damien and Frankie who both had excellent games on the day.

Training: This week’s training for Div 1 & 3 is on Tuesday night at 8pm

Ladies  Senior: The division 2 League game against Ballymahon/Forgney was not played on Sun last as Ballymahon/Forgney were unable to field. Under 16's: On a perfect evening for football, we played our best football of the year to convincingly beat St. Helens 9-9 to 3 points. Although St. Helens scored the first two points of the match, we soon assumed control of the game and by half time led 6-1 to 3 points. That was as good as it got for the Drumlish side and we ran in a further 3-8 and denied them a score. In fairness they never gave up and late on one of their players suffered a serious leg injury. We all in Dromard wish her a speedy recovery. Team: Amy McLoughlin, Róisín Kiernan, Elaine Healey, Róisín Smith, Laura Doherty, Maria Murphy(0-1), Rachel O'Reilly(0-1), Cait Murphy(3-2), Andrea Farrell, Áine Smith(3-0), Eleanor Gray(1-3), Aoife Grimes(2-2) Alannah Reilly. Reminder that there will be a meeting held on Thursday evening in Dromard. Big congratulations to Paul McEntire and his wife Jennifer on the birth of their baby boy. We wish the Dromard school girls all the best in the Division 1 final on Wednesday evening. Fixtures  Senior ladies, Ballymore on Sunday 25th May at 12:30 in Dromard.
