Club Notes for Friday 26th October 2012

The Leader Cup quarter final is re fixed for Saturday next away to Abbeylara at 4.30pm. Our group games of the under 21 championship are fixed for Sunday November 4th v Ballymahon/Forgney in Ballymahon at 2pm and November 11th v Carrickedmond/Legan Sarsfields in Pairc na Gael at 2pm. Congratulations to Killoe who were crowned Longford senior champions on Sunday last. Commiserations to Longford Slashers who played their part in this memorable final. Best of luck to Killoe on Sunday next when they take on the Wexford champions in the first round of Leinster club championship in Pearse Park. Best wishes also go to Granard who are also out against Dublin opposition on Sunday next in the Leinster Intermediate club championship and Cashel who play their Celebrity Bannistoir final on this Friday night. Former player Declan Cooney Legga recently retired from his position as Principal in Knocktemple National School in Virginia, Co. Cavan. Best wishes to Declan from his many friends in the club in his retirement. We would like to extend our sincere sympathies to the Sheridan family Legga on the passing of James during the week. Lotto results for Monday night 15th October 2012. The numbers drawn were 4, 13, 15 and 17. There was no jackpot winner. The winners of the draw were Kathleen Duffy, Pauric Duffy, Paddy Martin and Benny McCormack. The seller's prize was won by Helen Brady.
