On Saturday evening last our seniors were in action in the senior championship semi final in Pearse Park where we took on Killoe.  The evening was sunny and calm making for ideal conditions for the game.  A determined Dromard were first to raise a flag when James Martin scored from play.  Killoe replied with a pointed free and a point from play to take the lead.  A point from Francis McGee levelled matters.  Killoe edged ahead once more but this was cancelled out by a Cían Mimnagh strike from play.  It was at this stage our opponents had a period of pressure opening up a 4 point lead.  The Mimnagh brothers reduced the gap with a point apiece from play after a spirited period of play by our players.  Killoe brought the first half scoring to a close with a point to leave the score at the break Dromard 0-06 Killoe 0-08.  Dromard fought back on the changeover to level matters with a Declan Mimnagh point from a free and a Francis McGee point from play.  Killoe edged one in front again but Dromard battled back strongly to open up a 3 point lead as the game entered the final stages.  In the tense closing minutes Killoe converted 3 frees to leave the teams level at full time on the score Dromard 0-13 Killoe 0-13 to ensure the sides must meet again to determine who advances to the County Final.  Great credit to our players who showed a never say die spirit throughout this hard fought encounter. Thanks to all our supporters for coming out and getting behind the team and we hope to see a good turnout for the replay which is set for Pearse Park this Sunday evening at 5.30pm.  Team and scorers; Damien Sheridan, Peadar Faughnan, Cathal Conefrey, David Pettit, John Sheridan, Diarmuid Masterson, Paul McGee, Noel Reynolds, Bernard Sheridan, Declan Mimnagh (0-04) 2 frees, Ronan McEntire, Kevin Donohoe, James Martin (0-05) 3 frees, Francis McGee (0-02), Cían Mimnagh (0-02).  Subs used; Peter Masterson, Emmet Masterson and Donal Sheridan. Other subs on the day were Gavin McNerney, Peter Reynolds, Padraig McNerney, Gary Maguire, James Mimnagh, Enda McEntire, Conor Duffy, Mícheál Reilly, Conor Kiernan, Kieran McStay and Paul McEntire.  We wish Emmet Masterson a speedy recovery from an injury sustained on the evening.
