On Sunday evening last we played our senior quarter final game in Pearse Park against Mostrim. The evening was dry but a stiff cross field breeze was present. The opening score was converted by Cían Mimnagh - an effort from play. Mostrim responded with a point from a free before Francis McGee edged us ahead again with point from play. Mostrim went into the lead when they landed two points. A James Martin point from a free leveled matters but our opponents regained the lead with two more points from play. With the half drawing to a close Cían Mimnagh landed three points in a row from open play to leave the half time score Dromard 0-06 Mostrim 0-05.The second half was in the early stages when a good run by Ross McNerney resulted in a foul and a penalty awarded. Cian Mimnagh stepped up and converted the resultant kick. This was followed by a second goal from Cían Mimnagh this time from play. We tagged on four further points before Mostrim found the Dromard net with a goal. A James Martin point from a free was our last score. Full time score Dromard 2-12 Mostrim 1-06.
