The AGM of our club is scheduled to take place on Friday 30th December 2011. Nomination forms for positions in the club for 2012 will be available in Corrigan's Service Station and in Moyne Cross Stores from Wednesday 7th December 2011 and should be returned to the clubhouse post box no later than Friday 16th December 2011. In a unique initiative, the county senior panel and team manager, Glenn Ryan are undertaking a massive fundraising bid in aid of Longford Social Services. On December 10 and 11, the panel plan to cycle the equivalent of the famed 4,000km Route 66 road trip in the US on special gym bikes positioned on a viewing area at Longford's Market Square. It is hoped that all the clubs in Longford will participate in a cycle on Sunday 11th, where it is anticipated that each club will arrive in their club colours between 1.30pm and 2pm. We hope to have a good representation from Dromard in this cycle and if you are interested in taking part please contact our club secretary Emmet Masterson at 0858494157. In conjunction with Jigscenes.com, the club intend producing a number of children's jigsaws for the Christmas market. The proceeds from this will go towards youth coaching and games development in the club. We would like to thank Jigscenes.com for their sponsorship of the presentations made to the McCabe family, Corglass on the night of our Tractor draw. Jigscenes.com is a company set up by local clubman Bernard Smith, Fyhora along with brothers John and Gearóid Reilly from Gowna. Any photo submitted to them can be produced in jigsaw format. Bernard can be contacted at 087 6916808. We hope to have a number of jigsaws available in the local shops for the Christmas market. The jigsaws will be available in different levels of difficulty, 8-piece, 50-piece and 150-piece. Well done to the St. Columba's club on securing a 3 in a row of u21 titles at the weekend. Congratulations to Padraic and Caitríona Sheridan Legga on the birth of their baby boy last week. Congratulations go to Stephen Brady Kiltycon who married Sarah Reynolds from Bornacolla last weekend.
