On Friday night last our reserve league 1 panel had Fr. Manning Gaels as visitors to Pairc na Gael. The heavy showers earlier in the day made for slippery underfoot conditions. Dromard had the advantage of the strong breeze in the opening half and settled early into the game with early scores. Our players had a good share of possession with which they were able to get a good return of scores from. At half time Dromard had 1-13 on the board. The second half saw our opponents come into the game well and narrowing the margin. Dromard struggled to get into their first half rhythm but were able to take the points with full time scoreline of Dromard 1-15 Fr. Manning Gaels 1-2. Team and scorers. Donal was on our last two championship winning teams and was also on 4 of the 5 in a row u21 championship winning teams. Donal always gave great commitment to all teams he was involved with down through the years and coupled with his abilities as a player he will be a big loss to our club. All at the club sincerely wish Donal the very best with this move and we hope that some day we may see him back wearing the blue and gold in the future. We offer our congratulations to Padraic Jones on his recent promotion in the Garda Síochána. The club would like to offer their sincere condolences to the Cosgrove family Cornakelly on their recent bereavement.
