Lotto Draw:  This week’s lotto draw is deferred to Tuesday night, the 7th, at 9pm in the club house, all welcome, especially volunteers willing to help, so will not have the draw results going to press, they will be included in next week’s notes. Thank you to all who continue to support our weekly lotto. The lotto jackpot is currently €7,100 and tickets are available for €2 or €5 from all committee members, players, and local businesses. Yearly tickets are also available; check the website www.Dromard.GAA.ie or please contact any player or committee member if interested.

Sympathy: The club would like to express our sympathy to the Dolan family, Clonelly, on the passing of Mary Rose Dolan.

Division 3:  Our Division 3 team took on Shroid Slashers on Sunday last and the game proved to be another useful workout as we continue our preparations for the junior championship. Welcome home to Gary Maguire who made an immediate return to the playing field having just come back from the US. It was great to see Gary back in the Dromard colours and marking his return with some fine scores. There will be another division 3 game this week and it is important that there is a full turnout from all players with the championship only a couple of weeks away. The players on duty against Shroid were: James Conefrey, Cathal Conefrey, Niall McManus, Ronal Smith, Alan McNerney, Alan McLoughlin, Noel Reynolds, Neil McManus, Martin McGee, Peadar Kiernan, John McNaboe, Peter Mimnagh, Patrick Mimnagh, Gary Maguire. Our next outing is this Friday night at 8pm in Pairc Na nGael v Longford Slashers, but there is some early word that this may change, all will be verified by text.  All junior players have committed to selling one Annual Lotto in additional to their own. Your own annual lotto covers membership, player’s injury scheme, and entry into the 52 weekly draws, entry into All Ireland Ticket ddraw, Access to the Newsletter/Match Videos, etc.  Please have the money in for your own Annual Lotto in the dressing room before the next game, which is likely at the end of this week, so that you are covered by the injury scheme to play.

U16’s: Training continues on Thursday evening at 6:30pm in Monaduff. Any issues contact Gavin on 0879311430.

Longford Minors: Best of luck to the Longford minor footballers and management in the Leinster Final in Croke Park on Sunday next (12 July). This promises to be a great occasion with the game preceding the senior final between Dublin and Westmeath. Having played tremendously to reach the final, this is a wonderful opportunity for Longford to go all the way and to claim another Leinster minor crown. Best wishes to all the players and management.

Longford Seniors: Congratulations to the Longford senior footballers on their great 2-12 to 1-12 win over Clare in Ennis on Saturday evening last and especially to Diarmaid, Ross and Ronan who all contributed to the victory. The win put Longford into round 3 of the qualifiers where they were drawn to play Kildare next Saturday 11th July, Longford’s fifth championship game in 2015.

Volunteers for Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camp July 6th – 10th: Volunteers are sought to help out at the Dromard Cul Camp this week. This is a great opportunity for students or anyone on summer holidays to pick up some valuable experience for their CV in a fun and enjoyable setting. Anyone interested in helping out during the week, please contact Ross McNerney 086 2603701 or Jacinta Brady on 086 605 9069

Scheduling of Pitches: Reminder to various team coaches and officers, in order to make them aware and to avoid conflicts in scheduling the facilities, please first check with the facilities maintenance staff, Thomas 0874134636 or Jamsie Maguire 0876687751, regarding the availability of pitches and facilities, and give them adequate notice before planning challenge games etc.  Separately, very well done to Thomas and Jamsie and all involved, through your hard work and dedication the pitch and facilities were in top shape and looked excellent for the Under 14 final last week which greatly added to the occasion.
